Our Team
The Mainwave Consulting team delivers expertise across all aspects of acoustics, noise and vibration
Conrad Williams (MEng, MSc, MAAS)
Principal Acoustics and Vibration Consultant
Conrad has over 23 years of acoustics and vibration consulting experience in London, Los Angeles and Melbourne. Having graduated from the University of Southampton, UK, 2001 with a 1st class Masters degree in Acoustics and Vibration engineering, Conrad is a Member of the Australian Acoustical Society and has overseen the acoustic design of large mixed use building and infrastructure projects as well as environmental noise and vibration impact assessments for buildings, road, rail, power, industrial and commercial developments. Conrad conducts dynamic structural vibration assessment and modelling, vibration analysis of rotating machinery, and noise and vibration management for construction and blasting sites. Conrad has extensive experience in developing acoustic reports for planning applications as well as noise and vibration prediction, investigation, monitoring, and mitigation for underground assets and tower structures.
Harris Williams (BEng)
Noise and Vibration Measurement Systems Engineer
Harris graduated from Oxford University, UK in 2005, with an honours degree in Electronics has developed measurement systems for noise and vibration applications. Harris has led the development of Mainwave Consulting’s remote SMS warning system used on Mainwave’s proprietary noise and vibration monitoring equipment for construction sites and environmental noise monitoring.
Simon Ward (BEng)
Acoutsics Consultant
Simon has and engineering degree in acoustics and vibration extensive experience in the acoustic design for the automotive industry, building acoustics and environmental noise assessments. Simon has designed loudspeaker system layouts to achieve speech intelligibility requirements for Public address and Voice Alarm systems in networked loudspeaker systems.
Bill Bate (BEng)
Senior NDT testing Consultant
Bill brings 15 years of experience conducted pipe condition testing in the mining industry and offshore vessels. Vibration of pipe systems over time can cause structural fatigue. Through the routine monitoring of pipe wall thickness using NDT testing methods or X-Ray measurement when required, the condition of the pipes can be tracked and preventative maintenance undertaken as required.
Matthew Bolger (BSc)
Noise and Vibration Measurment Systems Consultant
Matthew has a degree in Computer Science, graduating from RMIT with high distinction in 2011. Matthew has extensive experience in Noise and Vibration monitoring for construction sites and for environmental impact assessments for commercial and industrial sites. Matthew has expertise in noise and vibration monitoring systems and developed the remote monitoring systems used by Mainwave for human comfort, environmental impact assessments, and structural damage.
